Today, we painted and added designs to our boards. I
was originally going to paint a picture of the king on a deck of cards
but I figured that that would be too difficult, so I tried to choose am
easier design, Mickey Mouse. I chose Mickey Mouse because I love
cartooning, and Mickey is one of the first cartoons, created by Walt
Disney. Mickey Mouse represents not only childhood happiness but also a
long and successful history of cartooning and animation, things that I
am interested in. I wanted a recognizable logo and something that spoke
to me. The most stressful part of my week was carving the Mickey outline
out with an exacto knife. I thought it turned out well in the end
however.
