Chris H.
The first day in the Longboard Collective seems fairly chill and laid back. The most work was done at the very beginning of the day. We got here, had a short introduction in the art of glueing longboards. It was a rather chaotic process because you needed to do it quickly/before the glue set, but also make sure the wood was together. I am very happy with how my longboard is shaping the “Zebra Wood” in the center has a cool look. After the glueing process we began exploring the many different types of longboards. I chose to modify a “freeride” style by arching the near the ends and having the board become thinner as it goes to the middle. The helmet contest sounds fun and maybe my doodeling will win, very excited about the rest of the week!
